What truly sets Northern Painters apart from other contractors is our team of professionally trained craftspeople. Every painter employed at Northern is either an Apprentice or a Qualified Journeyman. Our painters are trained at the Ontario Industrial & Finishing Skills Centre, where they are required to complete long term classroom and on the job training, providing them with a depth of expertise and skill. As a result, Northern Painters is able to provide customers with a team of thoroughly trained, highly skilled and motivated painting professionals on every one of their painting projects.
Northern Painters offers customers the security of having a comprehensive Bonding facility in place. The Bonding facility assures clients that Northern is a financially stable company and has the resources necessary to manage their project successfully. The application process by which such a facility is established requires the surety company to perform comprehensive financial and credit audits. The end result is peace of mind for customers in knowing Northern Painters' bids will be accurate and complete, and confidence that their project will be executed and completed as per their specifications and requirements. Northern Painters maintains a comprehensive general liability and automobile insurance policy to protect customers and employees against the unlikely event of damage occurring during a project. Whenever required, we will provide clients with copies of our Certificate of Insurance, and we can accommodate requests for customers to be added as "additional insured" when required.
Northern Painters makes the health and safety of our employees, our customers' employees, and the general public a top priority. A major part of Northern's Health & Safety Program is the ongoing training of our craftspeople to constantly ensure that the best safety procedures are being adhered to. Worksites are always changing and new technologies are being introduced regularly – the ongoing training ensures our painters are up to date on the latest policies and procedures. Some of the health and safety training courses that our craftspeople are required to attend include WHIMIS, Fall Protection, Suspended Access Equipment, Confined Space and Lead Abatement. Being well trained and highly skilled further ensures the safest possible work environment for all.
As a result of our commitment to safety, Northern Painters has an exceptional record with the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board. We are proud to have a "lost time accidents" occurrence well below the industry average. Our WSIB Current Clearance Certificates are always available to our clients, either on-line or by fax from our office.
